Core vaccines: Parvovirus, Distemper, Adenovirus-2, Parainfluenza
Rabies Vaccine:
Bordatella (Kennel Cough): Annually as required, at least 7 days prior to possible exposure, every 6 months for high-risk animals. Puppies may be vaccinated as early as 3 weeks of age and should be vaccinated a second time 2-4 weeks later. Lyme disease: Currently not routine, however prevalence in Nova Scotia is increasing. High-risk dogs initially get vaccinated twice 2-4 weeks apart, then annually before tick season. Leptospirosis: not routine |
