Bromelain
2400 GDU (gelatin digesting units; a measure of potency with
proteolytic protein digesting activity)
in 500mg dosage capsule. Give one capsule mid-morning and one
capsule late afternoon (one hour before or two hours after meals) on
an empty stomach. A third dose may be given if needed. Discontinue
any prescription anti-inflammatories.
You should see improvement very
quickly.
A good
glucosamine/chondroitin product can also be used in
conjunction with the Bromelain, but may
not be necessary.
1000mg of Ester-C daily or could
be divided into two dosages with meals will also help.
Crate rest is very important also
to reduce activity level and give the dog time to heal.
